Expo Encourages Children’s Nutrition and Physical Activity

On Saturday, March 16, 2013, Let's Move! Atlanta, C.H.O.I.C.E.S. (The Center for Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully) and the Aetna Foundation present their annual Children's Nutrition Education and Physical Activity Expo, to help fight the obesity epidemic by encouraging healthy choices.

From 10 am until 3 pm at the Adamsville Recreation Center on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd in Atlanta, the Expo will feature fun fitness activities, free health screenings, vendor exhibits, youth performances, sports team fun and more. Admission is free, but donations are welcome, and will support C.H.O.I.C.E.S. programs and initiatives in communities throughout the metro Atlanta area.

Save the Date Expo flyerThe number of children in the United States who are overweight or obese has tripled in the last thirty years, increasing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure and other obesity-related health problems if not addressed.

Lets Move! is a national organization dedicated to putting children on the path to a healthy future by providing parents with helpful information and fostering environments that support healthy choices.
