On Saturday, February 12,
2006 we toured the Whole
Foods Market in Sandy Springs, and it was awesome! Our
Nutrition Education Learning Tour was conducted by Alice Cheung the
Marketing Team Leader. Alice explained the difference between
conventional and organic foods with an extra special treat of letting us
taste organic gourmet peanut butter! We even received organic
goodie bags so we could experience the taste difference!

January 20, 2006 was truly a
great evening of laughter and learning at the Marcus Jewish
Community Center of Atlanta! The Event was titled "Super Size
Me: An Evening with Multi-Media Activist Morgan
Spurlock" as part of the Building Better Tomorrows learning
series. Morgan helps us remember that Fast Food is a treat only if it's
the healthy menu choices...otherwise it's just not a good thing!

Every Thursday evening from
7:00pm - 8:15pm we meet at BodyPlex
Fitness Adventure in Woodstock for the CHOICES Fitness Challenge
Cardiovascular Class. This class had a very special participant - Miss
Atlanta 2006 and CHOICES Spokesperson, Allison
Hutto! As someone who experienced childhood obesity first hand
and has grown into a beautiful woman, she was an inspiration to all who
attended. Even Allison was a bit out of breath by the end of the night!
